Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk reported the destruction of another bridge in the Kursk region, Russia.

“Aviation of the Air Force continues to deprive the enemy of logistical capabilities with accurate air strikes, which significantly affects the course of hostilities!” wrote Oleshchuk on his official Telegram channel.

The Ukrainian military command does not specify which bridge was destroyed, but earlier Russian Telegram channels wrote that the Armed Forces blew up a bridge across the Seim River near the village of Zvane in the Glushkovsky district of the Kursk region.

Previously, on the night of August 15, an attack was carried out on a bridge over the Seim River in the Glushkovsky district in the Kursk region. On August 16, Oleshchuk published a video of the carried airstrike.

This comes amid the ongoing Ukrainian incursion in Russia's Kursk region. On August 12, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy officially announced that Ukraine is carrying out an operation in Russia’s Kursk region. Recent reports indicate that Ukraine is now in control of 82 settlements, covering 1,150 km² of Russian territory. Zelenskyy also mentioned that hundreds of Russian soldiers have surrendered to Ukrainian forces.
