Ukrainian Airstrike Destroys Russian HQ in Oleshky, Killing 25 Including Top Officers

The Ukrainian Air Force has carried out a precision bomb strike on a Russian battalion command post in the area of Oleshky, located on the temporarily occupied territory of Kherson region, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Preliminary reports indicate that approximately 25 Russian servicemen were killed and at least 11 others were injured. Intelligence sources state that the casualties include the battalion commander, chief of staff, head of the engineering service, and a platoon commander.
The General Staff reported that, over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s aviation, missile forces, and artillery targeted seven areas of concentration of Russian personnel and equipment, one unmanned aerial vehicle control point, one artillery piece, and one Buk surface-to-air missile system.

The elimination of the command post and its leadership is likely to disrupt unit coordination and reduce the operational effectiveness of Russian forces in the sector. Such precision strikes on command and control nodes are part of Ukraine’s broader effort to degrade Russian military capabilities on the southern front.
Earlier, unconfirmed reports from local Telegram channels indicated that drones struck the Ukhta oil refinery in Russia’s Komi Republic, over 1,000 miles from Ukraine — the first reported incident of its kind in the region.
Residents reported explosions, power and internet outages, and temporary evacuations, though local authorities claimed there were no fires or leaks.
