Ukrainian assault teams have successfully cleared several streets in the embattled city of Pokrovsk, using drone-guided operations to drive Russian troops from their positions, the 425th Separate Assault Regiment “Skelya” reported on November 12.

According to the regiment, small tactical groups are being deployed to clear buildings of occupying forces, with each move coordinated in real time by reconnaissance drones. “The drones not only detect targets but even indicate the direction of fire for the troops,” the unit reported.

Once enemy infantry is detected, Ukrainian forces deploy strike drones to eliminate targets before sending in assault groups—a tactic that significantly reduces risk to personnel.

The fighting in Pokrovsk has intensified over recent days as Russian troops continue to press their assault using light vehicles and small infantry units.

The 7th Rapid Reaction Corps of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces said that a recent large-scale Russian push along the Selydove–Pokrovsk highway achieved only partial success.

Much of the Russian light armor was destroyed before reaching the city, and the remainder was hit inside Pokrovsk itself. Ukrainian Armed Forces continue search-and-destroy operations within the urban area, targeting enemy firing positions established over the past week.

According to Ukrainian military reports, on November 11 alone, Ukrainian troops destroyed five motorcycles and five vehicles belonging to Russian forces both inside the city and on its outskirts.

In nearby Myrnohrad, Russian forces have intensified attacks in an attempt to break through Ukrainian defenses, but their assaults have failed to penetrate the city, according to Ukrainian command. Supply lines for Ukrainian defenders remain stable.

Intelligence suggests that Russian units are preparing a renewed assault from the direction of Hrodivka, supported by armored vehicles. The 7th Corps and its affiliated brigades are conducting operations aimed at improving tactical positions across the Pokrovsk agglomeration.

One of the Ukrainian brigades continues to repel round-the-clock assaults by small Russian groups of two to four soldiers, who are attempting to infiltrate the city’s southeastern outskirts. Russian troops are using commercial drones for navigation and reconnaissance, while relying on light vehicles and motorcycles for logistics.

In the Krasnyi Lyman area, another Ukrainian airborne unit is coordinating with neighboring formations to prevent a Russian breakthrough. Russian forces reportedly view the settlement as a potential staging ground for a northern assault on Myrnohrad, but Ukrainian paratroopers have been successfully eliminating enemy units and thwarting their plans.

Earlier, reports emerged that Russian forces were urgently redeploying troops toward the Pokrovsk sector in eastern Ukraine amid a critical shortage of manpower and operational reserves.
