Ukrainian armored units have entered combat with Russian troops in the city of Rodynske, Donetsk region, as Moscow’s forces continue attempts to seize the area critical for logistics along the Pokrovsk axis, according to video footage published by journalist Yuliia Kyriienko.

The video shows a Ukrainian tank operating under dense fog to reduce the visibility of Russian FPV drones. According to the report, the tank was deployed to clear Russian positions in the southeastern sector of Rodynske, where enemy units had managed to break through.

Ukrainian Defense Forces said maintaining control over Rodynske remains vital for supporting military operations around the nearby city of Myrnohrad. “In Myrnohrad, Ukrainian units confidently hold their positions and eliminate enemy forces on the city’s outskirts,” the statement noted.

According to the Ukrainian military grouping “East,” logistics to Myrnohrad have been complicated but continue to function. “Information about the enemy’s complete fire control over supply routes or about the operational encirclement of the city is not accurate,” the command stated.

The General Staff reported that necessary weapons and ammunition were recently delivered to defending units, and rotation of personnel and evacuation of the wounded were completed.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces are conducting counteroffensive actions in Pokrovsk and on its western outskirts to prevent further Russian advances on the southern flank.

Analysts note that Russian troops likely retain partial fire control over ground communication lines, creating ongoing logistical challenges for Ukraine’s defense.

Earlier, the Ukrainian–Crimean Tatar partisan network ATESH reported that Russian forces on the Pokrovsk front had disbanded their evacuation units to reinforce assault groups, leaving many wounded soldiers without medical aid or transport.
