Ukrainian Bomber Drones Destroy $400 Million Worth of Russian High-Tech Jammers, Video

Ukrainian troops operating in the south have destroyed two units of one of Russia’s most expensive electronic warfare systems—known as the Borisoglebsk-2—according to a video released by Ukraine’s Operational Command South on April 15.

The precision strikes were carried out by Ukrainian bomber drones, which targeted the Russian systems after drone reconnaissance units located them.

“In both cases, our aerial reconnaissance teams detected the enemy EW complexes and dispatched our bombers,” the Operational Command said in a statement.

“Our pilots struck the Borisoglebsk-2 with the first drop and finished them off with a second, control drop.”

Each Borisoglebsk-2 electronic warfare complex is estimated to cost around $200 million. These systems are designed to jam satellite communications and radio navigation in the HF and VHF bands, making them a key component of Russia’s battlefield electronic warfare capabilities.

The RB-301B Borisoglebsk-2 system consists of a mobile control post (P-300KMV) operated by a four-person crew, alongside several EW stations housed on armored tracked vehicles (MT-LB chassis). The full system includes up to nine specialized vehicles equipped with various jamming and signals intelligence tools, such as the R-378BMV, R-330BMV, R-934BMV, and R-325UMV.

The entire system can be deployed in about 15 minutes and includes diesel generators, though it can also be powered via civilian or industrial infrastructure using standard 220V or 380V outlets. Among its capabilities are radio reconnaissance and the ability to create complex signal interference across large areas.

Earlier, Ukrainian drone operators, in joint missions with airborne and intelligence units, damaged and destroyed four Russian Buk surface-to-air missile systems—three in Russia’s Kursk region and another in Ukraine’s Luhansk region—during a series of precision strikes carried out within 12 hours.

The precision strikes were carried out by the 413th Independent “Raid” Battalion in tandem with the “Zhmil” UAV detachment of the 78th Air Assault Regiment. During the mission, they successfully located and targeted three Buk air defense systems of varying configurations, including the advanced Buk-M2 and Buk-M3 models.
