A Ukrainian drone bomber operated by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) struck a Russian surface-to-air missile launcher believed to be part of the S-300 or S-400 system, according to video footage released by the SBU on October 25.

The footage shows a night operation in which a reconnaissance aircraft with a thermal imaging camera located the missile system, which was on combat duty. A drone-bomber then released two small aerial bombs on the launcher.

The munitions appeared to impact the vehicle chassis rather than the missile canisters, resulting in partial damage that likely rendered the launcher temporarily inoperable.

Due to the video’s quality, it remains unclear whether the targeted system was an older S-300 or the more modern, longer-range S-400 variant.

In the same operation, SBU drone operators also reportedly destroyed several Russian armored vehicles, including tanks, and inflicted damage on a motor pool and additional automotive equipment. A still frame from the footage showed the detonation of what appeared to be Russian armored machinery.

Earlier, SBU destroyed two Russian light aircraft stationed at an airfield in temporarily occupied territory. According to the SBU, the planes had been used to intercept Ukrainian long-range drones and were eliminated in a targeted strike by the Center for Special Operations “A.”
