Drone operators from the Signum battalion of Ukraine’s 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade released footage showing the strike of a heavily camouflaged Russian tank deep behind enemy lines on November 23.

According to the battalion, the crew was conducting reconnaissance when they spotted the tank concealed under a dense layer of tree branches. The Russian forces had attempted to disguise the vehicle from aerial surveillance, but as the unit wrote, “The enemy tried to hide their equipment from our sight. But you cannot hide from SIGNUM.”

Once the tank was located, the operators decided to target it directly. “The decision is made — we’re taking this tank apart piece by piece. The first strike lands perfectly. But we can see it’s not enough,” the battalion commented.

A second attack run followed, though the explosive device malfunctioned. “We go in again. On the second run, the explosive fails to detonate,” they noted.

A third drone was launched to finish the job. “We go up for the third time. We spot our drone and steer another right into it, delivering a double strike,” the battalion said.

The video shows the final impact hitting the tank directly, with the combined blast appearing to at least disable it.

Earlier, Ukrainian border guards operating FPV drones destroyed a rare Russian mobile air defense command post—identified as the PPRU-1 “Ovod-M-SV”—in the occupied Donetsk region.
