Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SSO) deployed FP-2 drones to carry out a series of precision strikes against Russian military positions in and around Pokrovsk, according to a video release published by the SSO on November 23.

Ukrainian operators identified several Russian positions used to support offensive operations in the Donetsk region and conducted coordinated attacks throughout the day.

According to the SSO, FP-2 drones struck multiple Russian positions across several settlements surrounding Pokrovsk. The targets included elevated firing points, personnel concentrations, and ammunition storage facilities used by Russian units advancing toward the city.

The SSO published footage showing FP-2 drones hitting buildings that Russian forces had converted into operational hubs.

The SSO stated in its official release that Russian troops had been using a high-rise industrial building inside Pokrovsk as a sniper and personnel staging point. The service noted that this position provided Russian forces with a tactical advantage over surrounding areas.

The agency added that additional Russian infrastructure, including temporary bases and logistics elements, was also targeted.

The SSO concluded the statement by saying that Special Operations Forces “continue to take asymmetric actions aimed at reducing the offensive capabilities of the Russian army.”

Ukrainian operators struck several key locations:

  • Pokrovsk: A multistory industrial structure used by Russian snipers and housing rotational personnel.

  • Shakhove: A building where assault groups from Russia’s 336th Separate Guards Naval Infantry Brigade were concentrated before attempting to encircle Pokrovsk from the north.

  • Sontsivka: A temporary base and ammunition storage site used by crews operating Russian strike UAVs from the 6th Guards Tank Regiment of the 90th Guards Tank Division.

  • Dokuchaievsk: A Russian ammunition warehouse used to supply units conducting assaults toward Pokrovsk.

  • Rybynske: A logistics position supporting the “Vostok” grouping, located inside repurposed industrial facilities fortified by Russian forces.

The SSO reported that FP-2 drones conducted sequential strikes after confirming priority targets across several settlements.

Ukrainian special operations units have increasingly relied on long-range and tactical drones to disrupt Russian supply nodes and assault formations in the Donetsk region. The FP-series has been used for both precision strikes and deep-range missions across occupied territories.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Special Operations Forces confirmed they had downed a Russian Mi-8 helicopter using an FP-1 deep-strike drone over the Rostov region—roughly 190 kilometers from the front line—in what they described as a first-of-its-kind operation.
