Ukrainian Drones Crush Russian Armor and Disrupt Attack on Donetsk Axis

Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces disrupted a Russian offensive attempt on the Donetsk axis and destroyed Russia armored vehicles, the unit reported on January 14.
According to the Unmanned Systems Forces, troops from the 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade, known as “Madyar’s Birds,” struck Russian tanks and armored vehicles, thwarting the occupiers’ plans to launch assault operations toward Ukrainian defensive positions.

The Unmanned Systems Forces noted that Russian troops are making considerable efforts to preserve their armored equipment. In particular, they have limited its use along the frontline, reinforced vehicles with additional metal structures, and relied heavily on camouflage.
“Despite this, the coordinated efforts of servicemembers from the 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade “Madyar’s Birds” on the Donetsk axis resulted in the destruction of enemy tanks and armored vehicles, thwarting the adversary’s plans to carry out assault operations toward the positions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces,” the unit concluded.
In a separate operation shortly before Christmas, Ukrainian forces from the “Madyar’s Birds,” together with the “Svoboda” Battalion of the 4th Operational Brigade of the National Guard’s Azov Corps, destroyed two Grad multiple-launch rocket systems in the Donetsk region.
Footage released by the Madyar’s Birds shows FPV drones flown directly into the Grad launchers while they were still loaded with rockets, triggering powerful explosions and fires that completely destroyed both systems.
Earlier, Ukraine launched a nighttime FP-2 drone strike targeting a Russian UAV site at the Kirovske airfield in occupied Crimea.
