Ukrainian Drones Destroy Russian Murom-M Surveillance System and Tanks in Slobozhansky Sector

Ukrainian border guards said their drone operators damaged two Russian tanks and destroyed a Murom-M surveillance complex, along with two communications antennas and an escort vehicle.
This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on January 13.

The service said the strikes were carried out by the “Striks” unit of the 4th Border Guard Detachment in the Southern Slobozhansky direction, following aerial reconnaissance that identified the targets.
“Recently, after targets were detected by aerial reconnaissance, FPV drone operators delivered precise strikes on the enemy.” the statement said.
Each loss of a Murom-M matters because the system provides long-range, day-and-night optical and thermal surveillance that Russian forces have used to watch movement near the front, including spotting people at distances of up to 10 km with its camera and up to 4 km with a thermal imager.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian drone units struck multiple targets in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region, hitting an ammunition depot, major electrical substations, and causing widespread power outages, as part of a coordinated precision operation.
