Ukrainian Forces Conduct Precision Strike on Russian 810th Brigade Command Post in Kursk Region

The Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a precision strike on a Russian military command post in the village of Mariyne, located in Russia’s Kursk region, the Ukrainian General Staff reported on January 2.

“All necessary precautions were taken to minimize risks to the local civilian population,” the statement said, underscoring the focus on limiting harm to non-combatants.

According to Andrii Kovalenko, Head of Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation, the strike resulted in significant losses for Russia’s 810th Brigade. “A successful hit. The 810th Brigade suffered heavy casualties as a result,” he confirmed.

Ukrainian officials emphasized that such strikes are intended to diminish Russia’s ability and willingness to attack Ukrainian civilians.

Earlier, Ukrainian Armed Forces delivered a precision missile strike, destroying a Russian command center in the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region.
