Ukrainian Forces Improve Tactical Position on Three Key Fronts in Donetsk Region

Ukrainian defenses improved defensive lines on three crucial sectors of Donetsk region along the Novopavlivka, Pokrovske and Vuhledar, enabling Ukrainian units to repel multiple enemy assaults and broken enemy attacks, according to New Voice on May 15.
“Thanks to the well-structured defense of the Vuhledar tactical group and coordinated work with brigade commanders, we hold the front and break the enemy on all critical sectors,” stated commander Serhiy Nayev.
Nayev described a massive Russian push on the Novopavlivka axis—five tanks, 12 armored vehicles and 25 motorcycles advancing from three directions—only to be detected and met with overwhelming firepower.

“Drone reconnaissance detected them 5–10 kilometers out and we turned their armor and equipment into burning wrecks”, Nayev.
Ukrainian forces nearly doubled their elimination of enemy personnel over the past month, while destroying multiple targets among which are artillery systems, tanks, armored vehicles and transport units.
Earlier, Russia redeployed mechanized and airborne units to the Eastern Military District, stockpiling equipment near Belgorod and Voronezh ahead of a major offensive, supported by intensified airlifts and drills.
