Ukrainian Forces Regain Novyi Komar Village in Donetsk Region

Ukrainian forces have regained control of the village of Novyi Komar on the Vremivka frontline in Donetsk region, according to Suspilne Donbas.

This was confirmed on December 5 by Nazar Voloshyn, spokesperson for the Operational Strategic Group "Khortytsia."

"The enemy has been pushed out, and Novyi Komar in the Volnovakha district of Donetsk region, part of the Velyka Novosilka community, is now under the control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces," Voloshyn stated.

Among the units involved in the operation was the 48th Separate Assault Battalion, which confirmed the successful liberation of Novyi Komar on their official page.

Previously, it was reported that Russian forces were attempting to break through Ukrainian defenses along nearly the entire front line in Donetsk region, with the situation in several areas described as critical.
