On August 6, Special forces of the active operations unit “Artan” and the Maritime Center of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine landed on the Tendrivska spit, in the northern part of the Black Sea, in close proximity to Crimea.

This was reported by the Main Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (HUR) on August 7.

During the operation, a multi-purpose light armored personnel carrier, an EW complex, and Russian fortifications were destroyed. The number of eliminated Russian military personnel is currently being specified.

The HUR reported that the amphibious group of Ukrainian scouts landed on the Tendrivska Spit at night, completed their combat tasks, and left without casualties. There, they assure that this is not the first successful event of special forces on the Tendrivska spit. The security and defense forces of Ukraine have a plan, the implementation of which is ongoing.

During the operation, Russian forces suffered personnel losses, though the exact number is still being determined. Despite the intensity of the battle, Ukrainian scouts completed their mission without sustaining any losses, including the successful execution of a classified component of the operation.

This operation marks another successful mission by the special forces of HUR on the Russian-occupied Tendrivska Spit.

The Tendrivska Spit, situated in the northern Black Sea, remains a strategically significant location due to its proximity to Crimea.
