Ukrainian aviation conducted a precision airstrike using a guided bomb on a building housing Russian military personnel in the village of Glushkovo, Kursk region, Russia. The video of the strike was released on May 24 by the Telegram channel “Soniashnyk,” which is affiliated with the Ukrainian Air Force.

According to Militarnyi, the strike was carried out by a MiG-29 fighter jet equipped with a French-made AASM Hammer guided bomb. An open-source intelligence analyst confirmed the location of the targeted building.

“Our eyes detected the launch of enemy UAVs from the building. To the unwelcome occupiers — using weapons against the Ukrainian Armed Forces can have explosive consequences,” the Telegram post accompanying the video stated.

The bomb struck the target, destroying the building that had been under surveillance by a Ukrainian reconnaissance drone.

The Kursk region, which borders Ukraine, has been previously used by Russian forces for cross-border drone and artillery operations.

On May 22, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refuted Russian claims about the alleged end of hostilities in Russia’s Kursk region.
