On April 7, Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense officially codified and approved the use of the domestically developed D-21-12R robotic ground system for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the Ministry, the system is equipped with a heavy machine gun and is designed for patrolling, surveillance, and providing fire support to military units. It can also engage enemy personnel and lightly armored vehicles.
Additionally, the vehicle D-21−12R is built for high mobility, capable of navigating rough terrain, swamps, and shallow water obstacles.
The Ministry noted that operators can control the system remotely from a secure location at a considerable distance.
Previously, it was reported that Pozhmashina, a Ukrainian manufacturer of fire, agricultural, and specialized machinery, has introduced a new armored vehicle designed for humanitarian demining.
