According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the missile was engaged during a coordinated response to a combined mass attack targeting Ukraine’s energy infrastructure. Following impact, the missile’s trajectory was altered, causing it to land in a field without detonation.
American Browning heavy machine gun, widely used in military operations globally, is a versatile weapon capable of engaging both ground and air targets. Originally designed in the early 20th century, its large caliber and high rate of fire make it effective against lightly armored vehicles, low-flying aircraft, and other threats.

On November 17, Russian forces conducted a widespread assault on multiple regions across Ukraine, focusing on critical energy infrastructure, including power generation and transmission facilities. Emergency power outages were implemented in several regions, as directed by Ukrenergo, to minimize the impact of the strikes.
Regions such as Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Lviv, Odesa, and Dnipropetrovsk reported significant disruptions in power supply.
