Ukraine’s Security Service Special Operations Center “A” said it used an unmanned ground robotic complex for the first time to evacuate a captured Russian soldier from the front line and transfer him to Ukraine’s prisoner exchange fund, according to Militarnyi on January 5.

Militarnyi identified the platform as the Droid TW-12.7 ground robotic complex, which is built on a tracked chassis and fitted with a remotely controlled weapon station designed for 12.7 mm systems.

In the released footage, the Droid TW-12.7 unmanned ground system is shown carrying out logistics and combat tasks under the control of Security Service Special Operations Center “A” operators.

In particular, it is seen moving supplies under enemy fire, evacuating a captured soldier to Ukrainian territory, and using its standard weapons to engage with Russian troops.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine’s 3rd Separate Assault Brigade used FPV drones and unmanned ground platforms to compel Russian troops to surrender and remotely escort them to Ukrainian lines to be taken prisoner.
