The British company Unilever, a global leader in household chemicals and food products, has announced its final exit from the markets of Russia and Belarus.

This was stated by CEO Hein Schumacher, who did not disclose the sale amount or other details.

"Today, Unilever completed the sale of its Russian subsidiary, Arnest Group, to a Russian manufacturer of perfumes, cosmetics, and household goods," he said.

The company sold all its business in Russia, including four factories.

In September of this year, the Russian government permitted Unilever to sell its assets in the country, including the Unilever Russia subsidiary.

"The completion of the sale ends Unilever's presence in Russia," emphasized CEO Hein Schumacher.

After Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Unilever suspended its product shipments to Russia and halted exports from the country. However, the company's four factories in Russia continued to produce goods.

In July 2023, the National Agency for Prevention of Corruption included Unilever on its list of international sponsors of the war.
