US President Donald Trump stated that Ukraine is not assisting the United States with drone defense and that the country does not require such help.
He made these remarks during a phone interview with Fox News on March 13.

While discussing military actions against Iran, Trump claimed he had rebuilt the military, making it “the most powerful in the world.” When asked if Ukraine provides assistance regarding drone protection, he denied it.
"No, they are not helping. We do not need their help. We know more about drones than anyone else. We have the best drones, actually," he said.
However, during a private briefing, US Defense Secretary Peter Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Cain acknowledged that Iranian drones are a greater problem than expected. They noted that American air defenses cannot intercept all of them.
These developments occur as the United States continues to evaluate its defense capabilities amid Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

As a result, defense startups from both nations teamed up, and the US Department of Defense showed strong interest in integrating Ukrainian technology into its forces by awarding contracts to test long-range attack drones.
