US to Announce New $375 Million Military Aid for Ukraine, Says AP
The US is expected to announce a new military aid package for Ukraine on Wednesday, totaling $375 million, including cluster bombs and missiles.
This was reported by AP, citing US officials.
The package, totaling $375 million, is said to feature air-to-ground bombs, which have cluster munitions and can be fired by Ukraine’s fighter jets, as well as munitions for the High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems (HIMARS), Javelin and other anti-armor systems, Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles, bridging systems and additional military vehicles and equipment.
Earlier in September, US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said that the US is working on a significant aid package for Ukraine, which they plan to announce by the end of the month.
Zelenskyy is set to visit the US Capitol on Thursday, September 26, to meet with both Democratic and Republican lawmakers, according to a statement from Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer's office on Tuesday.
