US Training New Ukrainian Brigade in Germany, Says Zelenskyy

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the United States is training a new brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Germany, on December 9.

"Currently, in Europe, specifically in Germany, the American side is training a Ukrainian brigade. This is important," Zelenskyy said.

He also noted ongoing negotiations with France to establish a second brigade in France, modeled after the 155th Mechanized Brigade named after Anna of Kyiv.

The President further announced plans for upcoming discussions on the joint formation of a Ukrainian brigade with contributions from Northern European and Baltic nations.

"This will be a significant contribution to Europe's defense," Zelenskyy added.

Previously, it was reported that Ukraine is preparing to hold a meeting in December with a group of international partners to coordinate strategies for strengthening its defense and advancing a diplomatic resolution to the war.
