Video Footage of Ukrainian Forces Destroying Pontoon Crossings in Kursk Region, Russia

The Special Operations Forces (SOF) of the Armed Forces of Ukraine have released a video showing M142 HIMARS rocket systems in action. The footage reveals these systems being used to destroy critical Russian pontoon crossings with Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) missiles and ATACMS cluster munitions.

“The video provides a detailed look at the coordinated efforts between the SOF operators and other Ukrainian Defense Forces units. The operators expertly identified and targeted Russian engineering equipment, ensuring the successful destruction of key logistical points. The footage also showcases the detection and adjustment of HIMARS fire, leading to the obliteration of bridges and pontoon crossings that were vital for Russian troop movements and supply lines,” the SOF statement reads.

Beyond the destruction of the crossings, the Ukrainian forces targeted and eliminated a range of Russian military assets. The strikes resulted in the destruction of an accumulation of military equipment, a field warehouse containing ammunition and other supplies, a fuel and lubricants depot, an advanced electronic warfare complex, and a 152-mm D-20 artillery gun.

Earlier, on the morning of August 19, Russian sources stated that the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed the third and final bridge across the Seim River in the Glushkovsky District of the Kursk region.
