Videos emerging from Russia’s Belgorod region show entire front-line positions submerged after a dam collapse flooded Russian defensive lines following a Ukrainian strike, according to the footage shared by the OSINT intelligence community, Supernova_plus, on October 28.

Some of the affected Russian positions appear completely submerged, with ammunition, vehicles, and fortifications washed away. Satellite imagery from the area indicates widespread flooding downstream of the Belgorod reservoir, with water levels continuing to rise and inundate nearby settlements.

Residents reported that no official evacuation was announced, even as villages near Bezlyudivka were already underwater.

According to Ukrainian OSINT-community Exilenova_plus, Belgorod regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov has not commented publicly on the incident, and Russia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations has remained silent—prompting criticism that Moscow is attempting to downplay the incident.

“Russian equipment and dugouts are literally going underwater in the Shebekino area and along the Vovchansk axis after a dam burst,” war observers wartranslated wrote. “The occupiers are whining that they now have to swim to reach their positions.”

In addition to the flooding of defensive lines, the breach has reportedly severed key supply routes, with roads washed out and logistics disrupted across parts of the Belgorod front.

Analysts note that the flooding could force Russian troops to abandon or relocate several positions, undermining local defensive operations near the Ukrainian border.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert Brovdi—known by his call sign Madyar—confirmed that Ukrainian drones struck the Belgorod Reservoir dam inside Russia, causing a one-meter drop in water levels.

The strike reportedly cut off Russian troops near Vovchansk in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region from their main forces.
