Zelenskyy Calls for New Pressure on Moscow as Russia Drops Over 1,580 Bombs in a Week

Over the past week alone, Russia has used more than 1,580 guided aerial bombs, nearly 1,100 attack drones, and 15 missiles of various types against Ukrainian civilians, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on his official X account.
At the same time, Zelenskyy added that Russia launched nearly 150 attack drones against Ukraine last night, which killed three people, including a child, and injured ten.
The Ukrainian President pointed out the importance of tightening sanctions, making sure Russia is not able to use loopholes to avoid them.
“All of this weaponry contains at least 102,000 foreign components. That’s why sanctions against Russian terrorists must be more effective. Every loophole that allows them to bypass the sanctions regime must be eliminated,” Zelenskyy wrote.
The President added that new pressure on Moscow is required to bring an end to these strikes and war.
On March 23, Russian forces launched a large-scale drone attack on Ukraine, including the capital, Kyiv, and its region, killing three people and injuring at least ten.
According to an article published on March 23, the US is reportedly aiming to broker a ceasefire in Ukraine by April 20, Easter for both Western and Orthodox churches this year.
