Zelenskyy Heads to Türkiye for High-Stakes Meeting With Erdoğan on Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will visit Turkey on February 18 for a meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the Director of Communications for the Turkish Presidency, Fahrettin Altun, announced on February 17.
According to Altun, Zelenskyy is visiting at Erdoğan’s invitation.
“During the meeting, all aspects of the strategic partnership between Ukraine and Turkey will be reviewed, and steps to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries will be discussed,” Altun stated.

He added that Zelenskyy and Erdoğan will also exchange views on the latest developments in Ukraine, as well as regional and global issues.
Zelenskyy confirmed his planned visit to Türkiye, after which he intends to travel to Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, Zelenskyy stated that Ukraine will not take part in the upcoming talks in Saudi Arabia and will not recognize any agreements concerning Ukraine made without its involvement.
