Zelenskyy: Moscow Blatantly Mocks International Peace Efforts With Drone Attacks

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the Kremlin is openly ridiculing Western attempts to restore peace while intensifying its attacks on Ukraine.
In his evening address on March 31, Zelenskyy stated, “All the more so now, as Moscow blatantly makes a mockery of our partners’ efforts to advance a peace agenda – with constant new drone attacks and relentless, brutal shelling. Only through pressure can this be ended and Russia forced into peace.”
The President stressed that Russia must be held accountable for its actions, emphasizing that Europe will not forget the moral lessons of this war.
“There can be no scenario where [the Russian leader] and other Russian criminals, or the Russian state itself, evade responsibility,” Zelenskyy said. “What happened in Bucha, Mariupol, and other Ukrainian cities and villages cannot be normalized. We will continue working to ensure Russia is held accountable and feels the consequences.”
Earlier on March 31, speakers and deputy speakers from 17 European national parliaments, along with representatives of the European Parliament, arrived in Kyiv for a summit of parliamentary leaders.
The visit coincided with the anniversary of the liberation of Bucha, a city that has become a symbol of Russian war crimes in Ukraine.
