Military personnel from North Korea may be moving closer to the front in Ukraine while the BRICS  summit is taking place in Kazan, Russia, while there are calls for supposedly "preventing tension" at this time.

This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his address during the third parliamentary summit of the Crimean Platform.

The President emphasized that the UN Charter is about true peace, not about normalizing war.

"And now, as some state leaders gather at Putin's summit in Kazan, and as military personnel from North Korea may be moving closer to the front in Ukraine accompanied by words about supposedly 'preventing tension,' we still know that a criminal will not prevail. It will not be the one who destroys. It will not be the one who deports," the President declared.

Zelenskyy stressed that in this war, the victor will be the one who unites peoples based on fundamental human values and the UN Charter.

"If we are successful in ending this war justly, then any other nation that might be planning similar aggression can be confident that the world has enough strength and unity to uphold international law. This is not only about Ukraine. Today, on the International Day of the United Nations, it is especially important to say this.”

“And I would like to remind the international bureaucracy and political leaders that today is the UN Day worldwide, not just in Kazan," Zelenskyy concluded.

The summit, taking place in Russian Kazan, gathered 36 world leaders, including UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Taliban Minister of Industry and Trade Nuruddin Azizi, Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin, and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
