Zelenskyy: Putin Has No Serious Peace Plans, Preparing for New Attacks

In his evening address on May 26, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated there is currently no indication that Russian leader Vladimir Putin and his inner circle are seriously pursuing a peaceful resolution to Russia’s war against Ukraine.
“From the information gathered by our intelligence and from open sources, we see that Putin and his team do not plan to end the war,” Zelenskyy said.

“There is no confirmation that they are seriously considering peace or diplomacy. On the contrary, there is much evidence they are preparing new offensive operations. Russia is counting on the war continuing. This reflects a clear disregard for everyone in the world who seeks peace and tries to make diplomacy effective.”
On the same day, during a meeting with Russian business leaders, Putin echoed longstanding Kremlin narratives and suggested Russia was unfairly blamed for launching the war.
