Ukrainian President will attend the European Political Community Summit in Hungary, visiting the country for the first time since the Russian full-scale invasion in 2022, Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced during his evening address on November 6.

His visit comes at the invitation of Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and European Council President Charles Michel.

In his address, Zelenskyy emphasized that discussions at the summit in Budapest will focus on European security challenges and exploring new opportunities for collaboration among partner nations.

Additionally, he noted plans for several key meetings with European leaders to further agreements on strategic cooperation.

“The summit will be an important platform to address pressing security issues across Europe and establish new paths forward with our partners,” Zelenskyy said, pointing to the importance of unity and strategic planning.

Earlier, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán called for a new European approach to Ukraine following the success of the Republican Party and Donald Trump in the US elections.
