Zelenskyy: Ukraine Has Successfully Tested Its First Domestically-Produced Ballistic Missile

According to President Zelenskyy, Ukraine has successfully tested its first domestically-produced ballistic missile.

“Since we’re on the subject, I thought it might be too soon to talk about it, but I want the public to appreciate the work of our people who are working 24/7 in the defense industry — there was a first successful test of Ukraine’s first ballistic missile,” announced the President at the Ukraine 2024. Independence Forum.

This announcement follows the recent unveiling of another domestically-developed long-range weapon, the “Palianytsia,” a missile-drone hybrid designed to strike deep into Russian territory. Just days before the successful test of the ballistic missile, President Zelenskyy confirmed the existence of the Palianytsia, which has a reported range of up to 700 kilometers and was first used against a Russian military installation on Ukraine’s Independence Day, August 24.
