Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Ukraine is ready to support proposals to halt strikes on energy infrastructure, though he still lacks full details of the ceasefire plan discussed between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. Zelenskyy made the statement speaking to journalists on March 18 in an online briefing, as reported by Ukrinform.

“I think Ukrainians understand what’s happening. Right now, there’s an air raid alert — that’s the answer. As far as I know, the Russians claimed they gave an order to stop attacks on our energy infrastructure, including strikes with long-range weapons and Shahed drones, right after their conversation with President Trump. But we’re under alert right now, so clearly, that’s not happening,” Zelenskyy said.

He added: “I believe it’s right that we talk with President Trump and find out the details — what the Russians offered the Americans, or what the Americans offered the Russians.”

Zelenskyy stressed that Ukraine is ready to support any proposal to stop strikes on energy infrastructure, but all details must be made public first.

“Once we get the details from President Trump and the American side, we’ll prepare our response and our team will be ready for technical talks,” he said.

The President also made it clear that Ukraine will not sit quietly if Russia keeps attacking:

“Russia cannot strike our energy infrastructure and expect us to stay silent,” Zelenskyy said, as quoted by Suspilne. “We will respond,” he added.

Previously on March 18, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the media, stating that Russian leader Vladimir Putin is planning to launch several offensives in the Zaporizhzhia, eastern, Kharkiv, and Sumy directions.
