Russian occupation forces lost another 1,050 troops, one tank, and 92 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on May 6.

According to the latest battlefield update, Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since the start of the full-scale war have reached approximately 1,337,170 troops.

The report states that Russian forces have also lost 11,918 tanks and 24,515 armored combat vehicles since February 2022. Artillery losses climbed to 41,478 systems, alongside 1,775 multiple launch rocket systems and 1,363 air defense units.

Ukraine’s military also reported continued heavy losses in Russian drone capabilities. Over the past day alone, 2,031 operational-tactical UAVs were destroyed, bringing the total estimated drone losses to 276,061. Russian forces also lost one cruise missile, five MLRS systems, and 12 ground robotic systems.

Additional losses include 282 vehicles and fuel tankers destroyed over the past 24 hours, while total Russian logistical vehicle losses have now exceeded 94,000 units.

The General Staff said 186 combat engagements were recorded along the front line during the day, with the heaviest fighting concentrated near the Pokrovsk direction, where 50 clashes took place.

Earlier, Russia’s military recorded a fifth consecutive month in which personnel losses exceeded recruitment, driven in part by sustained operations from Ukraine’s drone units.

According to the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (USF), the imbalance reflects “systemic work” by drone units that continues to reduce Russia’s ability to maintain combat intensity along the front line.
