Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,130 Troops and 50 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces lost another 1,130 troops and 50 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, while fighting across the front line intensified to 210 combat engagements, according to figures released by the Ukrainian General Staff on May 13.
The latest estimates put Russia’s total personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion at approximately 1,344,180 troops.

Ukraine also reported the destruction of two tanks, one armored combat vehicle, one multiple launch rocket system, and three air defense systems during the latest reporting period.
Drone losses remained especially high, with Russia reportedly losing 1,853 operational-tactical UAVs in a single day. Ukrainian forces also struck 287 military vehicles and fuel tankers, along with two ground robotic systems and one piece of special equipment.

Since February 2022, Russia has also lost an estimated 11,928 tanks, 24,554 armored combat vehicles, 41,985 artillery systems, 1,786 MLRS systems, 1,376 air defense systems, 435 aircraft, 352 helicopters, 33 ships and boats, and two submarines, according to the Ukrainian military.
Earlier, reports emerged that for the first time in the last three years of full-scale war, the battlefield initiative appeared to be shifting in Ukraine’s favor.
After surviving months of relentless Russian missile and drone attacks on its cities and energy infrastructure, Ukraine is now increasingly imposing costs on Russia across multiple fronts—from battlefield attrition to deep strikes hundreds and even thousands of kilometers behind the front line.
