Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,290 Troops, 8 Tanks, and 93 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces lost another 1,290 troops, eight tanks, and 93 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on June 21.

According to the latest figures, Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,391,950.

Ukraine’s military also reported the destruction of 10 armored combat vehicles, two multiple launch rocket systems, two air defense systems, eight ground robotic systems, 2,346 operational-tactical UAVs, 475 vehicles and fuel tankers, and two pieces of special equipment over the past day.

Overall Russian losses reported by Ukraine now include 12,049 tanks, 24,797 armored combat vehicles, 44,479 artillery systems, 1,885 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,435 air defense systems, 436 aircraft, 353 helicopters, 364,149 operational-tactical UAVs, 4,787 cruise missiles, 33 ships and boats, two submarines, 109,817 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,316 pieces of special equipment.

The General Staff added that 213 combat engagements were recorded along the front line over the past day.

Russian forces also carried out one missile strike using two missiles and 85 airstrikes, dropping 267 guided aerial bombs. According to the morning operational update, Russian troops launched 10,489 attack drones and conducted 3,030 strikes against Ukrainian positions and populated areas.

The most intense fighting was reported on the Pokrovsk, Huliaipole, and Lyman axes, where Russian forces continued large-scale assault operations. Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and artillery struck 18 Russian troop concentration areas and one artillery system over the reporting period.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces (SBS) reported a coordinated drone operation targeting Russian gas infrastructure and military logistics across occupied territories. The strikes hit four gas compressor stations in temporarily occupied Crimea, the Henichesk Strait bridge used by Russian forces for supply routes, as well as fuel tankers, armored vehicles, and other logistics assets in temporarily occupied Crimea, Kherson, Donetsk, and Luhansk regions.
