Russia lost 1,340 troops, 42 artillery systems, and three air defense systems in one day as fighting reached 269 clashes across the front, Ukraine’s military said.

Russian forces suffered an estimated 1,340 personnel casualties and lost 42 artillery systems and three air defense systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on July 31.

Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since launching its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have now reached approximately 1,446,150.

Ukraine also reported the destruction of one tank, seven armored combat vehicles, 10 UGVs, 1,525 operational-tactical UAVs, 55 cruise missiles, 413 vehicles and fuel tankers, and three pieces of special equipment.

Russia’s cumulative losses now include 12,231 tanks, 25,056 armored combat vehicles, 47,045 artillery systems, 1,976 multiple launch rocket systems, 439 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 2,081 UGVs, 435,665 operational-tactical UAVs, 5,005 cruise missiles, two submarines, 128,034 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,483 pieces of special equipment.

The cumulative totals for air defense systems and ships or boats were not included in the provided update.

Ukraine recorded 269 combat engagements across the front over the past day, including 45 in the Kostiantynivka direction.

Russian forces carried out one large-scale missile attack involving 83 missiles and launched 70 airstrikes, dropping 254 guided aerial bombs. They also deployed 8,980 strike drones and conducted 2,941 attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including 39 with multiple launch rocket systems.

Ukraine’s missile forces and artillery struck four Russian UAV command posts, seven other command posts, three areas where personnel were concentrated, and one additional high-value target.

Earlier, reports emerged that Russia was preparing to deploy an additional 30,000 North Korean troops and receive new ballistic missile launchers from Pyongyang.
