Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,440 Troops and 13 Armored Vehicles in One Day

Russia lost an estimated 1,440 troops and 1,474 operational-tactical UAVs over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on September 29.

According to the latest Ukrainian military figures, Russia’s total personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have reached approximately 1,532,500.

Russian forces also lost three tanks and 13 armored combat vehicles during the latest reporting period, bringing cumulative losses to 12,388 tanks and 25,463 armored combat vehicles.

Another 21 artillery systems were recorded as lost, raising the total to 50,498. Ukraine also reported four Russian multiple-launch rocket systems and two air defense systems lost, bringing their respective totals to 2,169 and 1,681.

Russia’s estimated aviation losses remained unchanged at 443 aircraft and 356 helicopters.

The General Staff also reported six unmanned ground systems lost over the past day, raising the cumulative figure in that category to 2,780.

Another 1,474 operational-tactical UAVs were recorded as lost, bringing Russia’s estimated total to 538,702.

Russia’s other estimated losses stand at 5,118 cruise missiles, 35 ships and boats, two submarines, 155,031 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,765 pieces of special equipment. Another 296 vehicles and fuel tankers and two pieces of special equipment were recorded as lost over the past day.

Fighting across the front remained intense, with Ukrainian forces recording 213 combat engagements during the latest reporting period.

Russia carried out 86 airstrikes and dropped 253 guided aerial bombs, according to the General Staff. Russian forces also deployed 9,883 strike drones and conducted 2,415 strikes against Ukrainian positions and populated areas, including 32 using multiple-launch rocket systems.

Meanwhile, Ukrainian aviation, missile forces and artillery struck a Russian troop concentration area, five command and UAV-control posts, one artillery system, and two logistics facilities over the past 24 hours.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Russia lost 10,660 troops killed or wounded across active sectors of the front over the past week, as Ukrainian forces continued operations in several of the most heavily contested areas.
