Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,470 Troops, 3 Air Defense Systems, and 46 Artillery Systems

Russian forces suffered an estimated 1,470 personnel casualties and lost two tanks and 46 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on August 14.
The latest figures bring Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, to approximately 1,464,440.

According to the General Staff, Russian forces also lost 11 armored combat vehicles, one multiple launch rocket system, three air defense systems, 14 UGVs, and 1,676 operational-tactical UAVs during the reporting period.
Ukraine additionally reported the destruction of 448 vehicles and fuel tankers and two pieces of special equipment.

Russia’s cumulative equipment losses are now estimated at 12,264 tanks, 25,141 armored combat vehicles, 47,870 artillery systems, 2,024 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,565 air defense systems, 439 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 2,229 UGVs, 459,649 operational-tactical UAVs, 5,007 cruise missiles, 34 ships and boats, two submarines, 133,853 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,524 pieces of special equipment.
Ukraine’s General Staff recorded 222 combat engagements across the front over the past 24 hours.
Russian forces also carried out 76 airstrikes during the day, dropping 237 guided aerial bombs on Ukrainian positions and populated areas.

In addition, Russian troops deployed 10,027 strike drones and conducted 3,011 attacks against Ukrainian settlements and military positions over the reporting period.
Earlier, reports emerged that Russian forces suffered 42,860 personnel losses in July, making it the highest monthly figure since January 2025.
July was also the fourth-most effective month for Ukrainian forces in terms of Russian personnel losses since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion.
