Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,560 Troops, 56 Artillery Systems, and 1,833 UAVs in One Day

Russian forces lost approximately 1,560 personnel, 56 artillery systems, and 1,833 UAVs over the past day, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on September 20.

As of September 20, Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, reached approximately 1,517,990.

Ukraine’s General Staff also reported that Russian forces lost four tanks, four armored fighting vehicles, three multiple launch rocket systems, two air defense systems, 423 vehicles and fuel tanks, 23 unmanned ground vehicles, and 13 pieces of special equipment over the past 24 hours.

Russia’s total estimated equipment losses now stand at 12,356 tanks, 25,361 armored fighting vehicles, 50,067 artillery systems, 2,146 MLRS, 1,659 air defense systems, and 525,965 UAVs.

The General Staff also lists cumulative Russian losses at 442 aircraft, 356 helicopters, 5,111 cruise missiles, 35 warships and boats, two submarines, 151,345 vehicles and fuel tanks, 2,695 unmanned ground vehicles, and 4,716 pieces of special equipment.

In response to the Russian military aggression, Ukrainian forces recently launched a coordinated series of long-range strikes against key Russian military infrastructure. These strikes targeted two launchers belonging to a Russian S-400 air defense system near Vygonichi in Russia’s Bryansk region. Additionally, Ukrainian forces also struck a drone storage, preparation, and launch site near the occupied Donetsk region.
