Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,690 Troops, 57 Artillery Systems, and 1,826 UAVs in One Day

Ukraine’s General Staff reported on September 27 that Russian forces sustained an estimated 1,690 personnel losses over the previous day, bringing their total estimated losses since the start of the full-scale invasion to approximately 1,528,970.

According to the latest figures published by the General Staff, Ukrainian forces also destroyed 57 Russian artillery systems and 1,826 operational-tactical UAVs over the same 24-hour period.

Russia’s other reported equipment losses included eight tanks, seven armored combat vehicles, three multiple-launch rocket systems (MLRS), four air defense systems, 517 vehicles and fuel tankers, 14 unmanned ground vehicles, and seven pieces of special equipment.

The General Staff also reported 221 combat engagements across the front over the previous day. The heaviest fighting was recorded in the Kostiantynivka and Pokrovsk sectors, where Russian forces launched 26 attacks in each direction. Russian troops also carried out 12 assaults in the Lyman sector and six in the Huliaipole sector.

Following the latest update, Russia’s total estimated equipment losses since February 24, 2022, stand at 12,384 tanks, 25,442 armored combat vehicles, 50,428 artillery systems, 2,163 MLRS, 1,677 air defense systems, and 535,846 operational-tactical UAVs.

The cumulative figures also include 443 aircraft, 356 helicopters, 5,118 cruise missiles, 35 ships and boats, and two submarines. Russia is additionally estimated to have lost 154,245 vehicles and fuel tankers, 2,762 unmanned ground vehicles, and 4,756 pieces of special equipment.

Earlier, Ukrainian forces struck a Russian P-18 Terek early-warning radar in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region, as well as an ammunition depot in the temporarily occupied Luhansk region.
