Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,930 Troops, 39 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russia lost an estimated 1,930 troops, two tanks, and 39 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on October 11.

According to the General Staff, the latest figures bring Russia’s estimated personnel losses since the start of its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, to approximately 1,552,840.

Russian forces also lost six armored combat vehicles during the latest reporting period, raising cumulative losses to 12,408 tanks and 25,521 armored vehicles. Another 39 artillery systems were added to the tally, bringing the overall estimate to 51,039, while four multiple-launch rocket systems and one air defense system brought those totals to 2,205 and 1,701, respectively.

Ukraine also reported 1,531 operational-tactical UAVs lost over the past day, pushing the cumulative total to 558,457. Another seven unmanned ground systems were recorded as lost, raising that category to 2,924.

Russia’s estimated aviation losses remained unchanged at 443 aircraft and 356 helicopters, while cruise missile losses stayed at 5,126. Naval losses also remained unchanged at 35 ships and boats and two submarines.

Another 557 vehicles and fuel tankers were recorded as lost, bringing the cumulative figure to 161,503, while the total number of special equipment losses stood at 4,812. Ukrainian and Russian forces clashed 221 times across the front during the latest reporting period, according to Ukraine’s General Staff on October 11.

The heaviest fighting was reported in the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors, where Russian forces launched 25 and 21 attacks, respectively. Another 18 attacks were recorded in the Kostiantynivka sector, while Ukrainian forces repelled 10 assaults each in the Southern Slobozhanshchyna and Lyman sectors.

Russian forces also conducted six attacks in the Sloviansk sector and three in the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk sectors. No offensive operations were reported in the Kramatorsk, Oleksandrivka, or Orikhiv sectors.

Earlier, Ukraine’s Air Force reported that Ukrainian forces destroyed more than 4,700 Russian aerial targets and neutralized over 48,000 tactical-level drones in September 2026. The military also conducted more than 1,600 aviation sorties, including missions to intercept aerial threats and strike Russian positions.
