Drones struck the Afipsky oil refinery in Russia’s Krasnodar region, triggering a major fire at the facility, according to the regional operational headquarters and footage published by the OSINT community Exilenova+ on June 11.
The attack on the refinery, located in the settlement of Afipsky, began shortly after midnight. Local residents reported drones flying over the area, followed by explosions several minutes apart.

Videos filmed by eyewitnesses and published online showed air defense activity and a large fire burning on the territory of the refinery.
“Drone debris fell in the settlement of Afipsky. As a result, a fire broke out on the territory of the refinery,” the Krasnodar region operational headquarters said.
The Afipsky refinery is one of the largest oil processing facilities in southern Russia, with a designed capacity of more than 6 million tons of oil per year.
The plant produces gasoline, diesel fuel, gas oil, vacuum gas oil, fuel oil, sulfur, and gas condensate distillates.

The strike adds to a growing series of attacks on Russian oil infrastructure, as refineries, depots, and fuel facilities remain key targets because of their role in supporting Moscow’s war economy and military logistics.
Earlier, reports emerged that at least 25 Russian regions were experiencing gasoline shortages and fuel supply disruptions as Ukrainian strikes continue to target Russia’s oil infrastructure.
