A massive blaze continues to tear through the facilities of the Aksaikardandetal enterprise located in the town of Aksai near Rostov-on-Don, Russia, as reported by Exilenova+ on October 13.

Emergency response teams previously assigned a level three difficulty rank to the ongoing incident.

Authorities mobilized extra units to combat the expanding flames, while local officials restricted traffic surrounding the industrial zone.

The emergency began on the grounds of the joint-stock company situated near Rostov-on-Don. Initial estimates placed the affected footprint at 500 square meters before expanding.

The facility possesses production capacities for metalworking, stamping, and heat treatment of metal. Such technologies can potentially be used to manufacture components for various equipment, including military hardware.

Previously, on October 1, 2026, a massive explosion struck a chemical plant in Krasnozavodsk, located in the Moscow region, leaving at least 7 people dead. The blast completely destroyed Shop No. 4, where the victims were working.

According to survivors, more employees were inside the building at the time, while emergency responders attempted to contain an open fire at the site. Witnesses reported hearing at least three separate explosions from the facility as flames spread across the industrial location.

Local media sources stated that the incident appeared to be technical in nature rather than the result of a strike connected to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, as residents in surrounding neighborhoods reported hearing subsequent blasts echoing from the direction of the burning plant.
