Russia Continues Attacks on Kyiv Gas Stations, Hitting One in Double-Tap Strike

At least two people were injured in a Russian drone attack on Kyiv on the morning of September 11, with strikes reported at gas stations in the city’s Obolonskyi and Dniprovskyi districts.

Explosions were heard across the Ukrainian capital during an air raid alert as Russian drones targeted the city.

The Kyiv City Military Administration reported that, according to preliminary information, two people were injured in the Obolonskyi district as a result of the attack. According to footage circulating online, the drone struck an Ukrnafta gas station.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that gas stations were hit in both the Obolonskyi and Dniprovskyi districts. He later reported a second strike on a gas station in the Obolonskyi district.

In the Dniprovskyi district, the administration reported a suspected drone strike on a gas station, with emergency services dispatched to the scene.

Klitschko also said medical teams were called to a residential building in the Dniprovskyi district following explosions in the Troieshchyna neighborhood.

The latest attack came just a day after another Russian drone struck an Ukrnafta gas station elsewhere in Kyiv. On the morning of September 10, at least four people were injured after a UAV hit the premises of a station in the city’s Holosiivskyi district.

Klitschko reported that emergency crews were dispatched to the site, where the strike sparked a fire and set a vehicle ablaze.
