According to Robert Brovdi (“Madyar”), commander of Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces, operators from the 1st Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces struck the Project 20380 corvette Boykiy while it was undergoing scheduled repairs at the Veleshchynskyi Dry Dock in Kronstadt.

Brovdi identified the vessel as a carrier of guided missile weapons and said the attack was conducted at approximately 06:35 local time.

The Boykiy entered service with Russia’s Baltic Fleet in 2013. The Project 20380 warship is designed for patrol, anti-submarine, and surface warfare missions and is equipped with guided missile systems.

In recent years, the vessel has frequently operated near NATO waters and was observed escorting ships linked to Russia’s shadow oil fleet through the English Channel.

Ukraine’s General Staff later confirmed strikes on ships and infrastructure at the port of Kronstadt, reporting preliminary damage to naval assets based at the facility.

The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) also confirmed a drone attack on military ships stationed at the Kronstadt Naval Base, stating that assessments of the damage remain ongoing.

The reported strike was part of a broader overnight Ukrainian operation against military and industrial targets inside Russia. According to the General Staff, Ukrainian forces also struck the St. Petersburg Oil Terminal, the Progress defense plant in Russia’s Tambov region, and several military facilities in occupied Crimea and occupied parts of eastern Ukraine.
