Preliminary findings from investigators indicate that Russian forces used an Iskander missile in the attack.
Earlier, Russian forces launched a large wave of drone and artillery strikes across multiple regions of Ukraine on May 1, targeting civilian infrastructure, residential areas, and commercial facilities. Regional authorities reported injuries and significant damage across Ternopil, Vinnytsia, Odesa, and Kherson.
One of the heaviest strikes was recorded in western Ukraine’s Ternopil region. Over 50 “Shahed” strike drones targeted the city, resulting in more than 20 explosions.
10 people were injured in the attack, including some in serious condition. All victims were receiving medical care, and no fatalities have been reported.
