The operation was jointly carried out by crews from Ukraine’s 429th Achilles Brigade and the 9th Brigade of the Unmanned Systems Forces, according to footage released by the Ukrainian military.

The units said the facility belonged to Russia’s 27th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade and was used to repair and store drones, as well as maintain components and other supplies needed for UAV operations.

“Repairs, components, storage, and supplies are what allow enemy pilots to operate on the battlefield. That is why we strike not only enemy UAV crews, but also the system that supports their operations,” the Ukrainian drone operators said.

Footage released by the units showed the facility being struck and subsequently catching fire.

Ukraine’s Defense Forces targeted multiple Russian military sites across temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories on October 5 and overnight into October 6, hitting a telecommunications hub, drone and ammunition storage facilities, and a command post.
