Ukrainian forces have liberated territory near Novoselivka in Dnipropetrovsk region, close to the administrative border with Donetsk region, with Russian forces losing at least 46 square kilometers of ground, according to the OSINT community DeepState, citing Ukraine’s General Staff on May 29.

DeepState described the action as a successful Ukrainian counteroffensive on the Oleksandrivka axis.

Ukraine’s Defense Forces also continue clearing Russian troops from areas near Vorone, Sichneve, Piddubne, Tovste, Novokhatske, and Zelenyi Hai.

The reported gains mark another sign of localized Ukrainian counterattacks in areas where Russian forces have been attempting to maintain pressure along the eastern and southeastern front.

According to DeepState, Ukrainian troops have regained control of territory near Novoselivka and are conducting clearing operations in several nearby settlements and rural areas as the situation continues to develop.

Earlier, Ukrainian Defense Forces pushed up to three kilometers into Russian defensive lines near Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region, where Moscow continues to concentrate major reserves in an effort to break through Ukrainian positions.
