Ukrainian forces carried out a series of deep strikes against Russian military and logistics facilities, hitting targets in the Black Sea as well as the Oryol, Samara, and Bryansk regions, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

According to Zelenskyy, one of the strikes hit a site in Russia’s Oryol region used to launch and store attack drones. He also reported a successful strike against a target in the Black Sea.

In the Samara region, Ukrainian forces targeted an oil facility, while a supply depot supporting Russian forces was struck in the Bryansk region, Zelenskyy said.

The Ukrainian president credited the country’s defense industry and military personnel with enabling the strikes, saying thousands of workers are involved in producing the capabilities Ukraine needs to respond to Russian attacks.

“I thank all our defenders who are working to send Russia’s sick war back to where it came from. This means thousands upon thousands of people in our defense industry working to ensure that Ukraine has the means to respond to every Russian strike,” Zelenskyy said. “These are exactly the kind of just responses we need right now. We will continue to deprive Russia of the ability to keep this war going,” Zelenskyy concluded.

The latest strikes follow previous Ukrainian attacks on Russian military infrastructure in the Bryansk region. On September 22, Ukrainian drones struck two military units in Pochep, with satellite imagery later showing damage at both facilities.

Satellite images published by Exilenova+ showed that one strike damaged a building at military unit 14370, home to Russia’s 1032nd Separate Logistics Battalion, while another hit a hangar at military unit 23857, which hosts the 856th Guards Self-Propelled Artillery Brigade.
