Ukraine Strikes Russian Drone Infrastructure Across Occupied Ukraine, Takes Out Pantsir-S1

Ukrainian forces struck a series of Russian military targets on August 29 and overnight into August 30, hitting drone infrastructure, command posts, logistics and ammunition depots, and a radar station, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on August 30.

Among the targets was a drone storage facility belonging to Russia’s Rubicon unmanned systems unit in temporarily occupied Khartsyzk in the Donetsk region.

Ukrainian forces also hit a Russian UAV command post near Chumatske in the Donetsk region, targeting infrastructure used to coordinate drone operations on the battlefield.

Additional Russian command posts were struck in temporarily occupied Sukhodolsk in the Luhansk region.

The operation also targeted several logistics facilities supporting Russian forces. Ukrainian strikes hit supply depots in Berdyanske and Hirnyk in the temporarily occupied Donetsk region, as well as another facility near Krasnosilske in occupied Crimea.

An ammunition depot in temporarily occupied Kadiivka in the Luhansk region was also hit.

Beyond temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory, Ukrainian forces struck a Russian radar station near Pavlychi in Russia’s Bryansk region.

The General Staff separately announced a confirmed result from an earlier operation. After analyzing additional intelligence, the Ukrainian military confirmed that a Russian Pantsir-S1 air defense gun-missile system was destroyed near Kletnya in the Bryansk region on August 27.

The Pantsir-S1 is designed to provide short-range protection for military installations and other high-value assets against aircraft, missiles, and drones.

Previously, Ukrainian forces struck several Russian military targets in temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as command posts and equipment concentrations in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions.

Near Olenivka in Crimea, Ukrainian forces struck a Russian Nebo-SV radar station, equipment associated with a P-18 radar, and a mobile communications system.
